Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker Program (Intercambio de información para trabajadores migrantes)

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development offers a Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker (MSFW) Program in designated WorkForce Centers. This program specializes in providing assistance to employees and employers seeking to obtain work or workers in agricultural and non-agricultural employment.

Migrant farmworkers have traveled for many years to Minnesota to perform some type of agricultural work. Because of short-term, weather-driven nature of agricultural employment, more of these workers have entered into other longer term and higher wage employment.

Located in these "designated" WorkForce Centers is a Migrant Labor Representative. This person is bilingual (Spanish/English) and available to assist Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers in obtaining employment and referring them to other services in the community.
