Mandated Reports to the Legislature

The Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is required by the Minnesota Legislature to provide certain performance reports or policy recommendations to the legislature; those reports/recommendations are listed below.

Reports to the legislature are distributed as directed in M.S. § 3.195. However, for reports that are published exclusively online, the Legislative Reference Library (LRL) now permits submittal to the LRL of one hard-copy AND the URL (web address) of the online publication. The LRL, as the official government document repository, keeps track of reports and provides a checklist of state documents to legislators.

Performance report on efforts to publicize provisions of the small business and small targeted group business procurement program, and efforts to identify relevant businesses (M.S. § 16C.18, subd. 2). Report requirement was repealed at the 2007 legislature [2007 MN Laws, Chap. 135, Art. 2,  Sec. 40(a)].
