Note: The 2004 quarterly percentages in the above graph (9.3%, 6.8%, 7.7%, 7.3%) may appear to be inconsistent with the 2004 result of 9.9% (rounded to 10%) in the bar chart, second from top, "Comparison of employers posting orders to all employers hiring: BY WORKFORCE SERVICE AREA. The differences are due to the degree to which employers repeatedly submit job orders through out the year and repeatedly hire through out the year.

Both parts of the ratio, Employers Listing Job Orders and Employers Hiring, are counts of unique individuals achieved by removing duplicates. In 2004, there were more duplicates among the quarters for the Employers Hiring than among Employers Listing Job Orders. Thus removing the duplicates resulted in a smaller reduction in the number of Employers Listing Job Orders than in Employer Hiring.
